Age: 11,000+ Years old (Yeah, as old as dirt) DOB: 9548 BC Fandom they are from: Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunters Series PB: Travis Fimmel Background: Very little is known about Acheron. He’s not one to publicize anything about himself, and getting to know him is next to impossible. Back when dirt was first being born, so was Acheron Parthenopaeus. He was born human, the first born of twins, but he bore the mark of the gods; silver eyes. His ‘parents’ were King Icarion and Queen Aara of the Greek islands Didymos and Lygos. King Icarion said the baby was no son of his, and called him a monster. At his birth a wise woman said “He will be a destroyer, this child. His touch will bring death to many. Not even the gods themselves will be safe from his wrath.” (From The Dark-Hunter Companion, Page 287) The first death that rocked Ash’s world was the death of his sister, Ryssa. She was bedded by Apollo, and impregnated. The whole reason why this all happened was to pull Apollo’s favor to the Greeks, and away from the Atlanteans and it worked. Now here’s where things get a little confusing, and we go back in time to figure out a little bit of back story. Nineteen years earlier, an Atlantean queen was impregnated by Apollo (who’d fathered every first born son of every Atlantean queen in the hopes of overthrowing his own father) in a dream in the disguise of her dead husband. That same year, the queen of the Atlantean gods, Apollymi, found that she was pregnant. The fates declared that this child would bring about the end of their pantheon. Her husband Archon, demanded that the baby be slain upon its birth, but Apollymi wasn’t about to let that happen. She gave birth to her son, prematurely, and in secret. She then hid the baby, Apostolos, inside a human woman’s womb and presented to Archon a baby made of stone wrapped in swaddling. Of course the Atlantean god knew his wife had tricked him, and that royally pissed him off. He knew that his wife had hidden the baby inside of a mortal, and so with the queen of Atlantis being pregnant too, he demanded that she too kill her babe when it was born. The Atlantean queen knew by now that she was pregnant with Apollo’s child, and she thought that he would protect her. Little did the queen know that with Artemis’ help, Apollo had done a switcheroo of his own and put his unborn baby into the womb of one of his priestesses. The queen had her child, and at the moment of its birth it was slain before her. She then vowed her revenge on Apollo. Now we’re back to Ryssa, Ash’s sister. The Atlantean queen found out about her, and ordered her death. Her minions were sent out, and told to make it look as if wild animals had torn the two to shreds. They did their job, and Apollo destroyed Atlantis and cursed his own blood, the Apollites. They would only live to the age of 27, the same age Ryssa was when she died, and their deaths would be horrible. But they could live far longer if they turned Daimon. Now, back to Ash. He was merely nineteen years of age at this time, and Ryssa had only ever showed kindness. He betrayed her, and it pained him greatly. Even all of these years later it would still. He went to Artemis and kissed her, he hoped for death for freedom from his human life. He never expected that she would fall for him. At the age of twenty it was ordered by King Icarion that Ash be beaten until Artemis showed herself. She did show up, but not to the humans. She felt that Ash deserved what he got for revealing their relationship to the world, but he’d never let a word about that slip past his lips. Someone had found out, and ratted them both out. Three days he hung in her temple, naked, bleeding and helpless. Humans shaved his head, and branded the double bow mark, Artemis’ symbol into the back of his head. He was castrated, unable to have children until his twenty-first birthday when Simi’s mother, Xiamara, came and unlocked his god powers. It was at this time that he fathered Katra with Artemis, a secret that the goddess held back from him for nearly 10,000+ years. Destined to be born a human, Ash was also destined to die as a human. He died at the hands of Apollo, and was revived by Artemis. The two share a blood-bond. Highly sexual and so binding that one cannot live without the other. He was the first Dark-Hunter, and he’s the one who trains all of the new Dark-Hunters. Where Ash is, Simi is surely to be around somewhere, his Charonte demon. She was given to him when she was a small child, and can appear in her demon or human form. Ash considers her to be his daughter, and will do anything to protect her. (If you are familiar with the Dark-Hunter series then you’ll know about Nick.) He’s also highly protective over his goddaughter Marissa Hunter. These are his girls, and harm them you have an assload of trouble on your hands, but don’t bother to run he’ll find you. Typically he lives in Katoteros, the Atlantean term for Heaven, but on Labor Day weekend don’t try to reach him. He turns his cell phone off, and goes to D*Con in Atlanta. Don’t ask it’s a thing with him. Personality: There are many different facets to Ash. To look at him is to want him, or to want to run and hide from him. He exudes sexuality, power, and a masculinity that very few men could ever dream of having. To say that Ash is secretive is putting it mildly. He’s an oracle, in the best sense, but once someone is close to him he cannot see anything in their future. This is why he’s so distant to those who meet him. He’s not unfriendly by any means, unless you’ve caught him on a bad day, but he does like to distance himself from those around him as best he can. He’s seen what kind of harm he’s put people in by getting close to them. He’s powerful, omnipotent and omniscient. He’s a god in every sense of the word. His back is always to a wall, and he never allows anyone behind him. Call it paranoia, or whatever, but Ash really doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks. He can be compassionate, and loving to those he deems worthy of such things. Don’t expect much from him though when you first meet him. You’ll just be lucky to live after you’ve talked to him. Ash is also very heterosexual, although he did once tell Artemis that he wished he was gay. He also has a tendency to disappear for weeks on end. Don’t ask him where he’s been, you’ll get an answer that won’t make any sense whatsoever. Appearance: Ash stands at 6’8”, and has a lean body build. Every inch of him is nothing but muscle, and he uses that to his advantage when he fights. His hair varies color, depending on his mood. Most often you’ll see it black, streaked with various colors, but when he’s relaxed or just not paying close attention his hair is blonde; even though he hates his natural hair color. He typically wears Gothic style clothing, believing that the goth scene is more accepting of him and the way he chooses to look. Often times the first Dark Hunter will be wearing a long black trench coat and sunglasses to cover his ever swirling silver eyes. Pray you never see them red; because that is the last thing you’ll ever see. Random piercings will appear and then disappear at his discretion, just be happy it’s his body he’s messing with. He has a handprint scar on his throat, and from time to time the scar spreads down to his navel. Likes: The Goth Scene, black, leather, Simi, Johnny Bravo, playing the guitar, Sandman Comic, video games (which include Resident Evil, and Destroy All Humans), and going to local hospitals. Dislikes: Artemis (although he can’t live without her), anyone that hurts an innocent (or his girls), Damions, and general end of the world stuff.  [[[[Disclaimer: Not mine, no way no how.
